Master of Business and Management (MBM)

Duration: 12 Months

Entry requirement: Bachelor degree (in any subject) with B- average in final year.

This one-year masters degree provides a truly transformative business education that will take your career to new heights.

The MBM will give you a comprehensive understanding of the fast-paced global business environment, and prepare you to take on a wide range of management and leadership roles.

It’s designed for graduates of any bachelor’s degree – from arts and engineering to teaching and social sciences – who wish to expand their career prospects and increase their earning potential. Previous business experience is not required.

Over 12 months, you’ll hone your skills in all aspects of business, such as planning for strategic growth, marketing, digital business, economics and financial analysis, human resources, supply chain, and holistic problem-solving.

You’ll also develop strong communication and creative problem solving skills; the ability to undertake business research, question ideas and findings, and gain the confidence to lead teams and manage organisational change.

Master of Professional Accounting (MPA)

Duration: 14 Months

Entry requirement: Bachelor degree (in any subject) with B- average in final year.

The Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcct) is designed especially for students who have never studied accounting before at university-level, but already have a bachelor’s degree in another subject area, such as arts, teaching, law or economics. It provides a professional qualification that is recognised and respected by employers in New Zealand and around the world.

Over 14 months, you will develop advanced skills and knowledge in all the core areas of accounting and business, and be able to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to practical accounting situations. On completion, you’ll be ready to start work in a public accounting practice, or at a commercial firm or organisation.

This means our graduates can apply for provisional membership of all three, making it your passport to work overseas and expanding your networks.

There are two intakes for this course each year, so you can start in either November (T Semester) or January (S Semester). Please note it is a full-time course.
